Good Thursday morning.

Here’s what you should know: For the first time, a new Apple TV ad focuses on wearable gadgets that sync with the iPhone. The new spot adds to growing speculation the company is working on a wearable of their own.

Without actually unveiling an “iWatch” at their annual Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco this week, Apple added to growing speculation that such a device is in the works.

WWDC watches noted Apple dropped several clues that they are gearing up to launch a health-tracking gadget: For one, iOS 8 comes with health tracking software that requires a wearable device to collect data. And both iOS 8 and Mac OS X Yosemite make syncing with other Apple devices easier than ever before.

Then last night, another clue. The company debuted a new television ad focused squarely on wearables. Take a look:

“The spot, ostensibly about all the ways iPhones can make you stronger, faster and more pleased with yourself, also highlights real-world uses for several wearables and other accessories, all available for purchase today,” says Peter Kafka on Re/code.

The catch? These are all devices available right now: the Wahoo Fitness Blue SC Speed/Cadence Sensor, Withings Health Mate, Zepp Golf Sensor, Misfit Shine and Adidas miCoach Smart Ball. And — of course — the iPhone 5s.

No need for a new iWatch. We’re ready for wearables right now, and there are already a number of gadgets we can use with our iPhone. At least, that seems to be the message Apple is conveying here.

More likely, Apple is getting ready to shift their marketing towards health-tracking technology big time in the fall, and this ad is their first in a new campaign we will see play out well into the fall. Just last week, Apple exec Eddy Cue said he is looking forward to “Apple’s strongest product lineup in 25 years” in 2014.
